Great cities do not give much attention to nature or, at least tend to confine its presence to specific areas. The result are strategically positioned parks and commercial areas completely devoid of vegetation.
In other cases we are supplied with manmade unnatural spaces to remind us how green – the result is ordered, clean and fake. On the other hand, during the urbanisation process sometimes something is forgotten and a bit of wilderness appear trying to reclaim its own space.
Integration is about survival.
This project focuses on wanted vs unwanted nature within the urban environment.
The images represent a juxtaposition of situations where nature manages to cut its own space within the cityscape and others where it’s shaped by man and treated as an embellishment to our daily surroundings.
